SurfaceDJ Support

Now we can all be DJs.

Troubleshooting

1) If you've recently upgraded your version of SurfaceDJ and experience a crash while trying to load a particular song, try deleting SurfaceDJ from your iPhone/iPod Touch and download SurfaceDJ again from the App Store (you are never charged for redownloading applications that you own from the App Store).

2) To be sure your are running a fresh installation of SurfaceDJ, delete the app from your iPhone/iPod Touch by holding your finger on the SurfaceDJ application icon for 3 seconds. The application icon should start shaking and an X should appear. Click the X to remove the application. Download the application again and this should resolve any crashes that you are experiencing.

3) Though we have built our application to run on older versions of the iPhone OS, we do not test on every version of the iPhone OS. We highly recommend updating your iPhone to the latest iPhone operating system. To do this, connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to your computer, open iTunes, and click the "Check for Update" button. Follow the instructions to update your device to the latest iPhone OS.

4) If you do not hear sound:

  • If you are using an iPod Touch 1st Gen, your device does not have an external speaker and you must use headphones with SurfaceDJ.
  • Make sure the silence ringer switch (on the side of the iPhone) is not on.
  • Make sure the volume is turned up. Use the volume switches on the side of the iPhone/iPod Touch.
  • If all else fails, restarting your iPhone should resolve any system software issues.

5) Vectorform recommends restarting your iPhone or iPod Touch periodically and whenever you install new software.
